A Darker Disco is a local techno night run by Pete Wilson & Julie Mac, with residents Liam Smyth and Jamie Smith. Over the years its had several homes but currently resides in the Cinema Room. recent guest Dj's have included Luke Solomon & Matt Tolfrey. Playing darker, more minimal techno and electro the night has a unique underground feel and due to this recently won the BAFMP award for best dj/club night.

Homegrown DJ's return....After regrouping, reforming and retransforming, the Homegrown DJ's are alive once more. Like the mummy or Jesus, whichever is more appropriate they have formulated a new world order and decided to do it all over again anytime you need us. Think the A Team crossed with International Rescue...You need this in your life.
The Media Monkeys
Barrow and Manchester based vj/dj's who have been residents at the canteen for the past 3 years have played at local and national events and also played Kendal Calling festival for 2 years now and not forgetting the legendary earnsey bay beach parties bring you something new.
The Moon Cats
The Mooncats began when a series of like minded musicians (sick of hearing bands that could be easily pigeon holed) formed a bond with an urban poet, and began honing their craft. In a very short space of time, The Mooncats were spreading their tales of Barrow life all over the North West of England. The music seemed to come effortlessly, the lyrics almost wrote themselves. The very town that we live in inspired us to write what we write and play how we play. Over the two years or so of The Mooncats full existence (to the form it is today), there have been one or two minor changes made to the line up. Creative differences occur at the best of times, what's said is said, and the future is there for the taking, we don't dwell on what's happened, but take it, build on it, and head to the future.
Movement
Movement features resident DJ’s Kid Cagoule, Ad Bickerdike, Ste Kendall and Peter Kay.
All four have been involved in a plethora of Barrow based DJ events over the years and have guested at bars and clubs in Manchester and Leeds, supplying upfront and classic funk, hip-hop and beats to Barrow's discerning party goers.
Movement has also collaborated with ATIC Records, Unity Promotions, Signal Films, A Darker Disco and Homegrown DJ's to cover all the best venues in town and even the great outdoors!
Gifted Beings
Gifted Beings provide PR, Sales & Marketing support to organisations in the North West. We are currently working on events in Barrow, Manchester, Edinburgh (the Royal Yacht Britannia) and the new Wemley Stadium.
